Today was a nice day and we went out to our porch for a little fishing time. Jonah caught a shark and a whale but was also fishing for a barracuda and a clown fish.

We try to have a real tree each year for Advent and Christmas. Last year, Daddy is pretty sure that he was in mountain lion territory so Mommy said he couldn't go by himself to get the tree this year. So we all went!

We decided to go to the National Forests near Crestone.

We had a great time hiking in! Jonah even found this walking stick to help him out.

He ate a lot of snowballs!

A Good ol' fashioned Christmas part 1

We had a lot of fun this Christmas. We went to Kansas and saw lots of family! Mommy has more pictures of our adventures on her new camera from Aly! Anyhoo, here are some of the fun times that were had by us:)

A Good Ol' Family Christmas part 2

During Christmas, many people have activities that they like to do. Now some people sing carols, some decorate cookies, and some do this...

Yes, that is me on the three wheeler with Uncle Jacob...

Now we did do some normal things like build snowmen and had snowball fights...

Basically we played outside with our fun Uncles, an Auntie, and our Cousins. It was so much fun!

Since we got a little snow we went outside to enjoy. Simon doesn't like to wear gloves and also gets super mad when his hands are cold.

Daddy had to go to work for a long time and left us with Mommy. We did a lot while he was gone...

We went to my horse therapy but Mommy ditched me to play outside with Jonah. Ok, I throw a giant fit when Mommy comes so she let me do my thing.

Jonah lugged this tractor all over when he was playing (it was an old-school metal one).

He even got to pet Pippin the Pony.

Mommy took some pictures of us so that Daddy wouldn't forget what we looked like.

The invasion of Denver

All 16 of the Schneiders got together for the first time in about a year. Uncle Isaac was on vacation from Iraq so we all met in Denver. We had so much fun and had many adventures. We went to a Rockies' game (they lost to the White Sox), Denver Aquarium, and then to the "famous" Casa Bonita.

We were so excited to show the aquarium to our cousins! We love it when we play with McKenna and Corbin!

Denver is more fun that we thought it would be. We were even more excited to know that we were going to Kansas afterward to continue our Schneider-time.

We hear people say there is nothing to do in Alamosa and we think they are crazy. We have fun all the time! We have awesome library programs in the Park, a fun farmer's market with music, free concerts on Sundays, and more adventures!

We saw lots of planes at the air show.

We've been to several parades this summer. They throw stuff at us so Mommy and Daddy have to clean up there just like at home. We especially love the horses and tractors!

We find fun wherever we go! Sometimes that's playing in sprinklers...

Or listening to great music at Cole Park...

Or taking Simon on his first bike ride...

Or learning how to walk Shep.

We love Alamosa and are happy to be hear with lots to do and great people to spend time with. Come and visit to see for yourself:)

Our garden

Now that we don't live on campus we can have a garden again! We haven't had one since we lived in Connecticut and Mommy was so excited to have one this year! We have been very helpful with the garden...especially when it comes to eating what we grow. The soil is pretty bad so we are very happy to get anything out of our garden. We help Mommy pick the vegetables (and fruit), check to see if things are looking alright, and make sure that Shep stays away. Gardening is fun!

Tulo's whiskers

We recently added a new member to our family. Her name is Tulo-whiskers and she showed up at our house about a month ago. Most of us love her. Shep is not really a fan yet. She is super cute and growing more patient with us everyday. We are becoming more gentle with her.

Why did we name her Tulo-whiskers? For those of you unfamiliar with Jonah's love of baseball: Troy Tulowitzki is the shortstop for the Colorado Rockies and even has his own cheer. He is a favorite player of Jonah's and by naming the cat after him it allowed us to not name her Thomas (he loves Thomas the tank engine too!) Plus, we have a tiny Rockies hat and Daddy put it on her head and called her Tulo-whiskers:)

A fun time with the Dillis family

Auntie Jenn and Grandma Bobbie came to visit us this summer! We did all kinds of fun things with them.

Shared our favorite books...

We took them to a parade and rodeo in Manassa.

Then we got to visit Great Aunt Margie and Uncle Jack in Monument. I have been to some Dillis family get togethers before but the boys haven't. Joining us were John, Charlotte, Katie, Amy, and Aly, Chris, and Jacquie. So there were 16 of us and that was only 4 of the Dillis 16!

After all the visiting we took Grandma and Auntie Jenn to the zoo. We had a great time!

We were excited to see the animals up close but not about feeding them.

We had so much fun that we eventually had to rest.

We had an awesome visit and can't wait to see our family again.

So we haven't posted in awhile and trust me, that is not due to a lack of photographs. We have had many adventures like seeing the Schneider clan in Denver (all 16 of us) and then going to Kansas for the 4th of July. Then, Grandma Bobbie and Auntie Jenn came to visit and we had adventures with them down here and went to Colorado Springs and met a few of the Dillis crew (16 people again...). So we have been having so much fun that we haven't put up the pictures. Mommy promised that we would do that this week so we'll hold her too it!

New friends

We had visitors from Utah this week: The Hackford-Peers came to town! Mommy and Daddy were really excited to see them and after we met them we understood why!

We even managed to get a picture with all the kids, and Mama Ruth. We can't wait to see them again! Now Jonah and I just need to figure out where Utah is...

The Alligator Farm

After several weeks of good behavior we finally earned a trip to the Colorado Gator Farm.

As you can see we got to hold an alligator (notice the looks on Jonah and my faces).

Jonah really liked these turtles. We got to see them a lot and Jonah made sure to tell them all hi.

There were some big birds there too. We saw Ostriches, Emus, parrots, and geese too. Mommy honked at the geese and they honked back.

Daddy had to wrestle the boys from time to time...

We learned a lot about reptiles and amphibians today. We petted out fair share of animals and can't wait to go back again!

Outside is where its at (and by it I mean me and my brothers!)

Jonah horse

I go to horse therapy almost every week but this time, Mommy came and took pictures.

Here I am riding Jonah (that's my horse friend's name) reaching up to the toys above.

Simon had a good time while I was riding.

So did Jonah. He got to ride a horse too!

Mommy even let Simon try riding.

At the end of riding time, I sing a song and ride my little sick horse. It is a lot of fun!

One big week

As Uncle Daniel says, "Go big or go home." To be fair, he is normally talking about food but the sentiment is still true. Here is one week of our summer:

On Wednesday, our local library brought animals from the Alligator farm to the park and we got to touch them. Here is Jonah, not touching an alligator.

And not touching a tortoise...

Then we did some edging work in our backyard. Mommy said Jonah did most of the work.

We found some worms and inspected them.

We went to New Mexico to go to Mommy's bank. We really loved this bench/ swing!

On the way home, Mommy made us pose in front of this yellow sign...we still don't know why.

Then when we got home from New Mexico, there were lots of tractors on campus.

On Friday night, we walked to the Park for the annual Summerfest and on the way home saw this beaver. We watched it and a muskrat for a long time.

Simon turned one at the end of May and there was much celebrating!

Well its been awhile since I posted anything so allow me to catch you up:)

The month started out with a snowfall.

But being in Colorado, the snow melted quickly and we still played outside a lot!

We enjoyed our fair share of ice cream...

Made some new friends (this is Chad and his little girl Cora)...and visited old ones.

I finished up my school year just before Simon's birthday. Here I am riding my Daddy-horse to school (above) and below here I am dressed for my last day of preschool (notice my "cowboy" hat).

And of course, what would May be for the Pittmans, without Simon's birthday (more on that later)?

Now you are caught up. I will post more later...right now I need to go and get into trouble with Simon while Jonah finishes up napping.

My birthday, the zoo, and the Sinks part 1

For my birthday, we went on a great adventure. We journeyed north to Fort Collins and Denver. Our friends, the Sink family, joined us at the Denver Zoo. Uncle Jacob came along too! It was a great birthday weekend even if the Rockies game got snow out (we are going in June instead!)

Kite Day

This week my preschool class went to Kite Day. They had games, face painting, and of course kites. We had a great time and loved flying our kite. It was especially funny when we let go of the kite and Mommy had to run to catch it;)

Finally, we let Simon give it a go.

Kite flying is awesome and we want to do it again soon.

Uncle Daniel came to visit last week and brought some friends with him. Jonah and I got a picture of them all together.

We had lots of fun with Uncle Daniel and were sad for him to go home.

This is Marcus. But Jonah called him other things like "that big guy" and Mike.

Jonah amazed the group with his baseball knowledge. We had a great time with the students from Fort Hays State University and hope they come back very soon.

The weather has been really nice so we play outside a lot. Simon usually bounces in his swing while Jonah and I run around.

Simon is eating solid foods now. Here he is enjoying cottage cheese. Of course, Simon enjoys almost everything:)

Mommy and Daddy like having a yard. We make sure to supervise their work.

Jonah got a toy train for his birthday and we got it out to play. We love it so much!

I have learned a few thing about Christmas. First, you have to make things pretty to celebrate properly. So we put lots of new stuff around our house (even on the outside) to get ready.

Second, you have to have lots of food around. Mommy baked a lot and we got to play with our food.

Third, you get lots of presents and they are just as fun to open as they are to play with. This one is of the family putting together our new kitchen!

We got a real live Christmas tree this year. Daddy went out into the wilderness and cut it down for us. Here it is below...

No, not the huge one in the front. It's the little one to the left.
Daddy said he saw mountain lion poop while he was in the woods--yikes! He can't go anywhere without poop being involved!

Daddy put our tree on top of Bea and brought it home for us to see. (Oooo, that rhymed!)

Then Daddy put lights onto it and let us get used to having it in the house before we got to have fun with it.

Mommy tried to get a picture of all three of us in front of the tree but this is the best she could get.

Simon had to go to bed so he left us in charge of decorating the tree.

I even gave so of the ornaments a kiss for good luck.

Here is our finished tree! It was fun to get, decorate, and see. Yea for Christmas traditions!

Monique's Wedding

Mommy and Simon went to Monique's wedding. Who is Monique you may ask? I'll let Simon tell you since he got to meet her.
Hi, Simon here. I went with Mommy to Florida. We went to Monique's wedding. She is friends with Mommy and Daddy. Here are pictures.

I took my first trip by plane. I did a great job and made lots of friends along the way.
I got to see my friend Keegan again (we met in Michigan in the fall).

After the wedding we went to a party. We ate great food (well Mommy did) and danced! It was a great night. Congrats to Monique, Jason, and Logan. We had a great time with you on your special day!

Christmas Train

We took our first train ride tonight! We had so much fun and want to go again very soon!

Everybody was really excited to see this dude. Simon was more impressed with his bell.

Jonah and I were pretty nervous around him. We did eventually show him our reindeer bump.

We love the train! Let's go again!
